These many features include—among myriad others—being able to facilitate the transmission of 8-channel audio, up to 4Kp60 4:4:4 video, USB, IR, and RS-422 serial commands over a 1GbE network. Seamless integration with the renowned Dante Controller software enables AV professionals to effortlessly manage and route each signal individually, providing a streamlined and efficient workflow for audio and video distribution.
The Dante AV Ultra Encoder (DAV-01ST) in particular features 12G-SDI and HDMI input ports (HDMI exclusive to DAV-01HT), converting video and audio into Dante AV Ultra signals. Conversely, the Dante AV Ultra Decoder (DAV-01SR) stands out with dual 12G-SDI and HDMI output ports per channel, with DAV-01HR exclusively offering dual HDMI output.
The DAV-01 was also received with excitement at InfoComm, where the judge for Sound & Video Contractor said, “This is a very interesting niche product, creatively using the Dante AV protocol to transport audio, video, and control systems over the network via IP. It was a smart move to also integrate with the Dante controller software. The video preview and headphone jack are an added bonus.”
With respect to the DAV-01 models, Shinichi Yasui, product manager at ADTECHNO, added, “The standout feature of the Dante AV Ultra encoder and decoder is their ability to deliver perfect audio and video synchronization with ultra-low latency, critical for professional AV environments where every millisecond counts.” Yasui continued, “The familiar Dante Controller Software simplifies the management of video, audio, and control signals, enabling AV professionals to route signals with unprecedented ease.
The InfoComm judge on behalf of AV Technology was likewise impressed with the DAV-02: “I have not seen many Dante video products just yet and this device does it well with simple installation.”
Both the Dante AV Ultra Encoder (DAV-02HT) and Decoder (DAV-02HR) feature advanced source-switching capabilities, delivering visually lossless video and perfectly synced audio with a single network clock and eliminating any lip-sync issues. The DAV-02HT is equipped with USB-C and HDMI input ports, and automatically switches sources when it detects an incoming TMDS signal. The DAV-02HR features dual HDMI output ports, allowing for simultaneous video display.
