Pandemic Spurs Tech Upgrades in Schools and Classrooms
Beginning in mid-March 2020, more than 76 million PK-12 students and their respective teachers and instructors received a crash course in remote learning and teaching. If there was a silver lining to be found in the pandemic year, it was that 3.7 million K-12 teachers, and many more full-time and adjunct college instructors, became fluent in videoconferencing, although they also experienced firsthand the challenges of inadequate audio, video, and connectivity.
