ATLANTA, GA--The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) has named Cypress Communications' Frank M. Grillo, executive vice president of marketing, the 2008 Technology Marketing Executive of the Year.
"I am incredibly honored to be recognized by the Technology Association of Georgia," said Grillo. "While I accept this award in my name, it represents much more than a personal achievement, it is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaborative success of the Cypress team."
The honor is awarded in recognition of an individual's contributions within an organization and toward the advancement of technology marketing as a whole. Qualification is based on peer nominations and a selection committee chooses a winner through a review and interview process. Selection criteria include impact on the organization's mission, involvement in organizations outside of the workplace, and demonstrated leadership within and outside the company.
As a visionary communications executive, Grillo is known for his ability to identify growth opportunities and to produce results that make a real contribution to the bottom line of an organization. His strong background in sales and product management balanced with years of service delivery experience enable him to deliver on both sides of the marketing equation. Grillo is also a widely respected speaker on the technology and telecom circuits, educating thousands of professionals from coast-to-coast.
"Frank has been an exceptional leader at Cypress and within our industry," said Steve Schilling, president and chief executive officer at Cypress Communications. "He has been instrumental to the success, recognition and overall momentum that Cypress has and continues to build. I am personally thrilled that Frank has received this recognition."
