MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--AvaLAN Wireless Systems recently moved to larger corporate offices to accommodate growth of its overall business and an increase in personnel.
With several new hires on the team, AvaLAN Wireless moved its corporate headquarters from Palo Alto to Mountain View, CA, to a location that doubles its square footage in order to house the staff additions.
"We have doubled sales thus far in 2007 compared to the same period last year," said Ray Shilling, vice president of marketing, AvaLAN Wireless. "As a result of this dramatic growth rate, we are pleased to move to the larger facility to accommodate additional staff, and to better serve all of our customers and OEM partners."
According to Shilling, the growth for the company has been nothing short of explosive. To respond to the early market demand from a series of new products launched this year, AvaLAN recently hired security industry veteran Richard Ramm as its National Strategic Account Manager for the Physical Security market. Lauren Hastings joined as its new Marketing Manager to help handle the burgeoning sales and marketing workload.
In another move, the company left its former manufacturing contractor in Denver, CO last month to work with a much larger contract manufacturer in Arizona. The new business partner has the capacity to build several thousand units a month, compared with 500 units previously.
