Crestron CLS-EXP Lighting Expansion Modules
Crestron's CLS-EXP line of lighting expansion modules enable the Crestron iLux integrated lighting system and other Crestron lighting dimmers to handle more load types, a wider range of voltages, and larger loads. The CLS-EXP line features four new models that are now available. The CLS-EXP-DIM model allows each output channel of the iLux system to dim a fully loaded circuit of incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, neon/cold cathode, or dimmable two-wire fluorescent lighting loads up to 16 amps.
Christie M Series
The Christie M Series is a family of three-chip DLP projectors built on a dual-lamp, mercury platform with extreme feature-rich functionality. Providing a total of six new models, the projectors range from 5,000 ANSI lumens to 9,500 ANSI lumens and include two resolutions, SX+ and HD. At the highest brightness level, the projector draws a maximum power of 1320W. Hitachi CP-A100 LCD Projector
Hitachi's CP-A100 LCD projector features a very short throw distance, eliminating the problem of presenters obstructing the projected image by standing in front of the screen. Additionally, the CP-A100 offers networking capabilities, allowing multiple projectors to be controlled and monitored from a single location. The CP-A100 boasts a throw distance of 60 inches at 1.4 feet. This not only prevents image obstruction, but also means there are no shadows interfering with the image and eliminates light in the presenter's face.
Clear-Com Eclipse
Clear-Com is bringing control of its Eclipse digital matrix intercom system to the user's fingertips with the new, compact V-Series desktop unit. Klein + Hummel K8
Klein + Hummel will expand its K8 digital audio distribution system. With the addition of four new components--including the K8-ESB EtherSound bridge, K8-AO2 analog audio output, K8-AESI16 AES3 audio input, and K8-AESO16 AES3 audio output--the K8 system achieves even greater flexibility and compatibility for a multitude of sound reinforcement applications. Klein + Hummel introduced the K8 system last year as a method to distribute 16 channels of digital audio out to multiple locations with a total system latency of 0.5 milliseconds.
Draper Flat Panel Display Lifts
Draper is expanding its line of motorized lift products to include lifts for flat panel displays. Draper's Flat Screen Lift will handle flat panel displays up to 65 inches, while adding less than 5 inches to the overall depth. The lift can be built into custom cabinetry to allow the display to pop up into a home theatre, conference room or boardroom. The Flat Screen Lift design does not restrict the width of the display, or any accessories that could be used with the display.
Epson 3LCD Projectors
Epson has introduced three sub-$800 entry-level 3LCD, 3-chip multimedia projectors ideal for a wide range of business, education, and home environments. The three new models offer Epson's proprietary USB Plug n' Project connectivity, a hassle-free way to configure the projector to any system for a fast and easy connection. The Epson PowerLite W6 projector is Epson's first low-cost WXGA resolution model, delivering USB video, VGA video, and HDMI connectivity for high-definition quality video and digital audio from just one cable.
Gefen DVI-1500HD
Gefen's DVI-1500HD operates through robust sender and receiver units connected to the source and display at local and remote locations. One 4-link LC-LC multimode fiber cable delivers hi-def video from sender to receiver, supporting resolutions to 1080p full HD or 1920 x 1200 for computers. Up to 500 meters in distance can be traveled with an instant delivery of data. HDCP-compliant video may be extended up to 100 meters using an additional CAT-5 cable for DDC transmission. This long-range DVI extender is ideal for digital signage applications, capable of transmitting hi-def video with zero signal loss or delay.
Middle Atlantic Rack Equipment
Middle Atlantic Products is introducing new models and options for its ready-to-assemble equipment rack lineup. Yamaha PM5D-EX Digital Console Power Package
Yamaha Commercial Audio System's PM5D-EX digital console power package combines a Yamaha PM5D digital mixing console with a DSP5D expander doubling the I/O and processing capacity of two PM5D consoles but controlled from a single surface. The system features 96 mono and 16 stereo input channels in a very flexible configuration. The PM5D-EX system features 96 kHz processing throughout for outstanding sound and response.
Hitachi StarBoard FX Duo 88
Hitachi's StarBoard FX Duo 88 offers the same multi-touch interaction capabilities found in other boards in the series, with a new 16:10 wide aspect ratio that provides more presentation space and better mirrors screen dimensions of wide aspect PC and laptop display settings. The FX Duo Series takes interaction to a new level for educators and corporate presenters alike by allowing control using multi-touch hand gestures, as well as use of the presenter's finger, an electronic pen, or any other object. The new 88-inch size offers a larger presentation surface for those who need extra work space.
Soundcraft FX 16ii And MFX Series Mixing Console
Soundcraft is introducing the FX 16ii and MFX Series mixing consoles. Both units are built around the same AudioDNA processor featured in many of the Digitech and Lexicon outboard products. Other common features include 32 FX settings, tap tempo, FX store settings, 3-band EQ with swept mid-band, integral universal power supplies, and rugged construction meant to withstand even the toughest environment. Barco/High End Systems Showpix
Barco and High End Systems are unveiling Showpix, the first in a new line of Pixelation Luminaires. Showpix is a high-power LED wash light and a programmable fixture that can display graphics. Its 18-inch diameter head features a circular array of 127 homogenous three-watt LEDs, with an output of 24,000 RGB lumens. These pixels offer unlimited visual possibilities by projecting not just color washes, but images and other eye-catching effects, transforming the fixture head into a display device. Moreover, the media frames can be synchronized to music in real time.
Meyer Sound UPQ-1P Loudspeaker
Meyer Sound's UPQ-1P is a new high-powered addition to its UltraSeries products. BTX EXPAND-ON Sleeving Machine
BTX introduces the EXPAND-ON, a new machine that eliminates the tedious process of applying expandable sleeving to a cable bundle. Designed to work with up to 50 and 100-foot cable bundles, and sleeving ranging from 1/2 inch to 1 3/4 inch, this new machine reduces the time it takes to apply expandable sleeving from hours to a few minutes, saving installers both time and money. Typically, technicians apply expandable sleeving by inch-worming the sleeving up the length of the cable, which can be very time consuming with 50-foot and 100-foot cable bundles.

SP Controls' CatLinc HDMI is an inexpensive device which allows transmission of HDMI signals over Cat-5e cable. The device permits users to extend an HDTV display up to 150 feet away from an HDTV source, using two Cat-5e cables, thus eliminating the need to purchase expensive HDMI cables when placing a display away from the source. The CatLinc HDMI is capable of supporting DVI equipment when used with an HDMI DVI adapter. The product includes one transmitter, one receiver, two HDMI cables, and one power supply.
