ASIA-PACIFIC—SMART Technologies has appointed Christopher Chong as Asia-Pacific Director,
Christopher Chong, SMART Technologies a post newly created to provide more local support for customers and resellers in the region. Chong will be in charge of sales, marketing, and services for SMART products and will oversee interactions with customers in 11 countries, including China, Australia, South Korea, and Malaysia. He will be based in Singapore and will build a local team to support business in the region.
Chong has been SMART’s chief representative in China since 2006, managing the organization’s sales support and marketing office in Shanghai. He previously held senior positions with numerous technology firms in the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree specializing in management information systems, with a background in international business.
“Chris has a strong understanding of customers and their needs, having worked for more than a decade in increasingly responsible roles at the regional and national level,” notes Tom Hodson, SMART’s President and COO. “He builds strong relationships with resellers and is able to create and execute plans that effectively deliver results for SMART and its customers.”
