- The Women in P-O-P Benefit to Fight Breast Cancer has netted more than $1.2 million over the last 11 years to help thousands of women who have been touched by breast cancer and their families. The efforts and generosity of the Benefit's Corporate Benefactors, Advisory Committee members and Event Hosts have helped make the Women in P-O-P Benefit a roaring success since its inception.
- The 12th Annual Women in P-O-P Benefit to Fight Breast Cancer will be held at the close of the In-Store Marketing Expo, on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at McCormick Place's Lakeside Center in Chicago, Ill.
- The event benefits the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization,™ a Chicago-based non-profit that works to ensure through information, empowerment and peer support that no one faces breast cancer alone. Event Host and long-time supporter of the benefit, Gail LeBaron of Madden Communications said, "I have a great interest in supporting Y-ME because my mother has benefited so greatly from its help."
- "With nearly 217,000 women in the United States expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, our free-of-charge programs and services are needed now more than ever. Because of the generosity of donors such as Women in P-O-P, Y-ME can continue to provide essential free-of-charge programs and services to anyone touched by breast cancer," states Margaret Kirk, CEO, Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.
- The benefit is made possible by the support of industry leaders who underwrite the event as Corporate Benefactors. To date, 10 Platinum (donations of $6,000 or more) and 34 Gold (donations of $3,000 to $5,999). A complete list of current Benefactors is located at www.instorexpo.com
