BUENA PARK, CA--Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems (YCAS) held a two-day summit over Valentine's Day for a select group of commercial audio dealers at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, CA. Dealers attended a full-day conference on February 13 and had a day of relaxation in a picturesque environment on the ocean in southern California on the following day.
The meeting opened with an introduction by vice president/general manager Larry Italia along with welcome remarks from Hogan Osawa, president of Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, N.A. Special guests included executives from Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Japan as well as representatives from NEXO France who all had an opportunity to meet with YCAS dealers over the two days.
Attendees were shown a light-hearted video presentation of the people 'behind the scenes' as well as the company's plans for new directions and products to be introduced later this year. Presentations by sales, marketing and product managers served to re-affirm the company's commitment to its dealer base that their personal success is what is most important to the company. Following the meetings, break out sessions were held and dealers could select to attend either a small business session held by Clifford Schorer, prominent Entrepreneur in Residence and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in New York or a technology session chaired by YCAS marketing manager, Marc Lopez.
"Once again, Yamaha sets the standard for the way a manufacturer treats their dealers," states Scott Kalata, Director of Sales Services, Masque Sound. "With class, attention and some fun mixed in for good measure!"
