Extron SSP 7.1 Surround Sound Processor
- Extron Electronics’ new SSP 7.1 is a high performance, five input Surround Sound Processor designed to provide up to eight channels of surround sound for pro AV applications in corporate and commercial environments. The SSP 7.1 automatically detects and decodes audio content in various Dolby and DTS formats from DVD, Blu-ray disc, and HDTV broadcasts. It also offers Dolby Pro Logic II/IIx and DTS Neo:6 processing to provide surround sound from two-channel stereo.
EAW DX1208 DSP Matrix Mixer
EAW will introduce its next generation of DSP at InfoComm with the debut of the DX1208 DSP Matrix Mixer. The direct result of end-user feedback, DX1208 combines expandability options with a deep feature set to make this mixer well suited for a wide range of commercial and install applications.
The DX1208 is a 12-input, 8-output 1U-rackspace DSP matrix mixer. Eight inputs are mic/line capable, with selectable 48-volt phantom power provided when the user selects mic level. Four additional inputs on unbalanced RCA connectors allow the users to “stack” inputs, increasing the number of audio sources that can be connected. An additional four digital inputs are available on S/PDIF with sample rate conversion to 48 kHz. All 12 inputs are included in the audio matrix and can be assigned DSP functions prior to distributing signal at line level.
The DX1208 can also receive up to six logic inputs and send up to three logic outputs, combined on a single 18- pin connector and programmable via the included EAW DX Navigator software. The DX1208 has serial RS-232 remote capabilities via a DB9 connector on the rear panel. Two RJ-45 connections are provided as well, for linking up to eight DX Link-enabled products together in a ring network topology. A remote control port (RJ-25 connector) is included on the rear panel. Up to 10 remotes can be attached to the DX1208, and each is individually addressable.
Chief Wall Mount Accessories
Chief Manufacturing’s new line of short throw projector wall mount accessories include several installer-inspired features to ensure fast, trouble-free installation. Users can achieve precise image alignment using the built-in telescoping extension of up to 54 inches and innovative lateral shift capabilities when spanning multiple studs. Contemporary Research QMOD-HD HDTV Modulator
Contemporary Research’s QMOD-HD HDTV Modulator converts PC-driven HD VGA and component into an HDTV digital cable channel. The QMOD-HD opens the door to cost-effective distribution of digital signage and HD subscriber sources using existing broadband coax cabling. The QMOD-HD accepts HD VGA and component analog video plus digital or stereo audio, and converts the inputs into a 720p/1080i MPEG2 digital media stream. Then the unit formats and amplifies the signal as an agile QAM digital cable channel.
Astatic 1600VP Mic
The new 1600VP is a continuously- variable pattern condenser hanging microphone system with remote polar control design and an anti-rotational positioning mount. The 1600VP’s variable polar pattern with remote control allows the user to precisely adjust the shape of the pick-up pattern to provide the best gain before feedback from a remote location using the standard mic cable. Designed to hang from a ceiling, the 1600VP is highly effective in recording and sound reinforcement applications. A low-profile carbon fiber boom is available for microphone stand mounting.

Alcorn McBride’s ShowTouch is a user interface designer for Alcorn McBride show controllers. Offering a user-friendly drag and drop utility, the ShowTouch designer allows users to design full-featured touchscreen user interfaces for show or media control applications of any size. Its platform includes a large library of virtual switches, buttons, indicators and displays. ShowTouch allows the user’s interface to obtain real-time information from the show controller; it also allows the interface programming to be archived and retrieved from the controller, which makes it simple to add a new touchscreen interface to the network.

Hitachi CP-X2510 Projector
Hitachi Home Electronics’ CP-X2510 3LCD projector features a brightness of 2,600 lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. It features 16W of built-in audio, eliminating the need for external speakers, while maintaining a low noise rating of 29 dB in Eco Mode. A hybrid filter allows for 5,000 hours before replacement. Additionally, the CP-X2510 consumes less than 5W power in Saving Mode. The CP-X2510 features a long lamp life of 3,000 hours in Standard Mode and 6,000 hours in Eco Mode.
NEC MultiSync X461UN Display
NEC Display Solutions’ 46-inch MultiSync X461UN ultra-narrow professional display is intended for video wall solutions, where its ultra-narrow bezel allows for a screen-to-screen distance between two neighboring MultiSync X461UN displays of only 7.3 millimeters. The MultiSync X461UN can be deployed in video wall matrices of up to 10x10, creating a total surface area of approximately 645 square-feet. The Multi- Sync X461UN can be combined with many of NEC’s large-format accessories.
RTI Control Systems Touch Screens
RTI’s control systems now provide two-way communication on both its in-wall and handheld touch screens. Utilizing RTI control processors and wireless ZigBee technology, feedback from AV and environmental systems is now possible. The user interface is both easy to implement and customize by the installer using RTI’s Integration Designer software. Integration becomes even more convenient using bidirectional communication drivers developed by RTI via its Integration Partner Program.
