The Scharff Weisberg Media Resource Center (MRC), a postproduction subsidiary of Scharff Weisberg with High Definition capabilities, has moved out of its current space into a new 3,000 square foot facility on East 23rd Street in Manhattan. Clients will be able to continue to take advantage of the MRCs high-end postproduction resources, including 10-bit uncompressed High Definition editing and encoding, while benefiting from the companys new location and affiliation with co-tenant, Antenna Productions.
The Scharff Weisberg Media Resource Center was created to support the activities of Scharff Weisbergs Staging and Systems Integration companies but has also developed a following among clients who need high-quality postproduction and DVD mastering. Weve seen a lot of work from arts institutions, media companies and independent producers, comments Media Resource Centers Josh Nissim. Our new location, office amenities and affiliations will be more accommodating to those clients.
Located at 220 East 23rd street, the new 3,000 square foot facility comprises six rooms offering full editing with a recently-acquired HD system for 10-bit, uncompressed editing; HD Windows Media 9 and HD MPEG2 encoding; and duplication services. The new space also has several production suites, client lounge and kitchen along with sweeping city views and a location just two blocks from the subway.
MRC will be sharing space with Antenna Productions, an audio postproduction company catering to the film and television industry.
We will have a synergistic relationship, with MRC providing video services to Antennas clients and Antenna supplying audio services to ours, says Nissim Were similar in the way we work so were both able to offer quality work at a reasonable price. The two companies complement each other nicely; together we provide a full-service, one-stop shopping experience for the client.

The Scharff Weisberg Media Resource Center provides postproduction services for the presentation professional.
