RICHARDSON, TX-AMX has appointed
retired Lt. Gen. John "Jack" Woodmansee, Jr. to its board of directors. Woodmansee is a distinguished 33-year veteran of the U.S. Army and has extensive technology experience, both in military and private sectors. Woodmansee's expertise will help strengthen and guide AMX's strategic initiatives in the government market.
Woodmansee is the current president and CEO of Tactical and Rescue Gear (TRG), which manufacturers and sells a wide variety of products and equipment to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and local law enforcement around the country.
During his military career, Woodmansee served as the deputy chief of staff, operations, for force development. Much of the fighting force and weaponry used by the Army during Operation Desert Storm bore his imprint. Woodmansee is also a former White House Fellow, serving as a special assistant to the Secretaries of State, Dean Rusk and William Rogers. He also served as a National Security Fellow at the Hoover Institution of War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford University. Since retiring from active duty, Woodmansee has served on both the Army Science Board and the Defense Science Board. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Culver Educational Foundation, the Board of Advisors for U.S. Detection Technologies, and the U.S. Army Aviation Association of America's Hall of Fame.
