CYPRESS, CA--Christie appointed George D. Scheckel, Jr. to the position of director, international business development for the entertainment solutions business division. The new position is part of a corporate expansion strategy to capitalize on the company's international and domestic growth in Digital Cinema. Scheckel will guide and influence business development efforts, identify new market opportunities for Digital Cinema and build deeper relationships with industry stakeholders in the exhibition and content distribution communities.
Scheckel was a key member of the management team at QuVIS (Quality Visual Information Systems) for the past eleven years, most recently as vice president of digital cinema & business development. He joins Christie with extensive experience in all aspects of Digital Cinema pilots, products and rollouts, focusing on advancing digital imaging technology with movie studios and other key customers.
