Damian DiCarlo, Director of Sales for Communications Specialties Inc., died in an automobile accident on Thursday, September 16th, near his home in Orange, California. He was 34. Damian leaves behind a wife, Karen, and two children, Daniel (age 4) and Michael (age 1 1⁄2).
Damian joined Communications Specialties sales department in 1999 and, after a series of promotions, was named Director of Sales in July, 2003. In this position, Damian was responsible for supervising CSIs internal sales team, cultivating relationships throughout CSIs various distribution channels and spearheading many of the companys worldwide sales efforts. He was based out of CSIs California Sales Office.
Prior to his years at CSI, Damian enjoyed a successful career within the Professional A/V industry, including over 6 years as International Sales Manager at Inline, Inc.
CSI President and CEO, John Lopinto, expressed the view of many CSI employees in stating, We are stunned and saddened at this heart-breaking news. Our thoughts and prayers are with Damians wife and children at this time. Damian was a rare asset to his customers, his co-workers and the A/V industry. Every day we will miss him.
