Van nuys, ca—AVAD is relocating its Dallas, TX branch to Ingram Micro’s Carrollton facility on March 29. The new location inside the Ingram Micro facility will offer area dealers the same unique AVAD advantages they’ve benefited from at the previous facility—access to AVAD Experience Centers, a dedicated home theater and showroom, training facilities, a will-call area and a fully-stocked warehouse.
“The relocation of the AVAD Dallas branch illustrates how the support of our parent company, Ingram Micro, can benefit AVAD and its dealers,” said Jim Annes, VP and GM of AVAD. “AVAD continuously evaluates the effectiveness of each of its facilities both financially and in terms of productivity. While our current Dallas facility has served the needs of area dealers for some time, we feel it does not meet the needs of AVAD’s long-term strategy for dealer support. The implementation of this ‘store within a store’ concept not only saves significant revenue but gives AVAD a virtual unlimited opportunity to grow within this facility as we expand into new markets such as commercial AV, security, and digital signage.”
AVAD also announced plans for on-site and online training programs scheduled for early 2010. Among the AVAD partners offering training sessions on site at AVAD branches throughout the U.S. are ATON, DSC, Gefen, Lutron, and RTI. AVAD will also offer online courses from B&K, Key Digital, MartinLogan, and Universal Remote Control.
Dates and locations for the next wave of its AVAD’s 2010 Vend-OPalooza Tour were also announced for branches in Georgia, Tennessee, New Jersey, Maryland, Colorado, and Utah throughout April, May, and June. AVAD’s 2010 Vend-O-Palooza Tour has been its largest, most successful to date, featuring at least 45 of the industry’s leading residential AV, commercial AV, and security vendors at each event.
