Avalue’s new line of Mini-ITX motherboards, the smart-fan-controlled ACP-GM45DS and fanless ACP-945GDS, were created with large screens, high-definition effects and multi-functional manageability in mind.
- Avalue has introduced a line of Mini-ITX motherboards designed to serve the varied purposes of digital signage systems. According to the company, these +12V DC input supported motherboards were created with large screens, high definition effects and multi-functional manageability in mind.
Avalue’s fanless digital signage motherboard, ACP-945GDS, is powered by an Intel Atom N270 low voltage processor; its counterpart, the ACP-GM45DS, is a smart-fan-controlled motherboard powered by an Intel Core 2 Due mobile processor. Both come with built-in SODIMM sockets, supporting 2GB~4GB DDR2 SDRAM, according to the Taipei, Taiwan, company.
Avalue digital signage motherboards integrate with Intel GMA 3D graphics engines and provide Full HD Video Playback Decoding capability. According to the company, this video capability is combined with Realtek 5.1-channel audio streams to deliver excellent graphics and sound effects, the company said.
In addition, Avalue digital signage motherboards support multi-display configurations and offer compatibility with various types of displays, such as VGA, DVI, LVDS and HDMI, up to a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. They also support large-scale video wall applications when connecting with a video splitter.
The ACP-GM45DS supports Intel iAMT 4.0 technology, which enables remote networking manageability and offers optimized system management. This capability allows a system administrator to repair user-end problems anytime, even with the power off, from a remote location, the company said. It also provides an integrated TPM security chipset, which provides the security to defend against attacks and protect data.
Avalue’s ACP-series Mini-ITX motherboards also provide a flexible interface for expandability, including PCIe x1, Mini PCIe, PCI, USB 2.0, COM, SATA, CF, 2 sets of Gigabit Ethernet LANs, K/M, and 8-bit DI/O etc.
Avalue said it offers various selections of thermal solution modules, types of Mini-ITX chassis and customized BIOS/driver/Embedded OS services for its industrial motherboard products, as well as providing three- to five-year component support.
