RICHARDSON, TX--AMX's new ACE certification maintenance plan, which includes credit for specific training courses offered by CEDIA, InfoComm, and NSCA provides individuals and companies with special credit and recognition for completing pre-determined courses offered by AMX University, the company's global training organization.
"Many of the courses offered by CEDIA, InfoComm and NSCA provide valuable, complementary skills that are not taught by AMX, such as rack building and project management. As a company, it is in AMX's best interest to encourage the development of proficiencies that will make our customers even more effective and successful in the field," said Michael Peveler, AMX vice president of corporate development. "While CEDIA, InfoComm and NSCA have been applying AMX University course credits toward their certifications for some time, AMX is proud to be the first company in our peer group to reciprocate."
Once an individual is ACE Certified, they must complete 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) each year to maintain certification. Seven of these CEUs must be completed within the framework of AMX University, while the remaining three may now be earned via select CEDIA University, InfoComm Academy and/or NSCA University programs.
AMX ACE Certification is currently available in the following areas: Control System Design, Control System Installation, Control System Programming, Audio, Signal Management and Resource Management Suite (RMS).
