- Extending the proven superiority of its VERTEC® Series line array family to the powered loudspeaker market, JBL Professional is now offering the networked versions of its JBL VERTEC( DP Series. These integrated audio systems, compatible with HiQnet System Architect Software™, feature JBL DrivePack™ technology with extensive remote control and monitoring capabilities. Developed with Harman Pro Group sister company Crown International, these high-performance power modules with integral digital signal processing couple seamlessly with VERTEC loudspeakers, providing a new level of functionality for system users.
- The VT4888DP 3-way midsize line array element and VT4882DP midsize subwoofer are available with optional network input modules that allow JBL VERTEC DP Series systems to link seamlessly into Harman Professional’s revolutionary new HiQnet™system. VT4888DP-AN and VT4882DP-AN systems feature analog audio XLR inputs with Ethernet connectivity via industry-standard CAT5 cabling. VT4888DP-CN and VT4882DP-CN models feature digital audio and control on a single cable, and are Cobranet™-compatible.
- With either optional module installed, system users can take full advantage of the HiQnet communications protocol and HiQnet System Architect™ software. HiQnet compliance ensures that VERTEC DP Series systems can offer a variety of configuration and monitoring functions, through software control panels that address not only JBL DrivePack-equipped loudspeakers, but also other audio products from Harman Professional companies that may be integrated into a sound system.
- All new models incorporate Crown’s exclusive BCA (Balanced Current Amplification) amplification which features Class I circuitry with temperature-compensated modulation. State-of-the-art feedback circuits enable the JBL DrivePack to set a new standard for performance in digital amplification, with lower noise and distortion specifications than any other high-power switching amplifier on the market. The units include an auto-sensing Universal Power Supply and a fan-free, passive, cooling design, with three-channel units offering a full rated output power of 6,000 watts peak, 3,000 watts continuous.
