- Electrograph Systems' third annual Display Technology Experience (DTE) networking and training reseller event was its largest and most successful to date. DTE 2006 garnered a fifty percent increase in attendees and more than 200 percent increase in manufacturing partners over previous years. Held October 18 at Madison Square Garden in NYC, the complimentary reseller event attracted four hundred attendees and close to forty manufacturing partners for a full day of live demonstrations showcasing the newest audiovisual displays and peripherals. In-depth workshops and educational sessions on product integration and advanced installation techniques were also featured at DTE 2006.
- "DTE was created to bring the tradeshow locally to our resellers and to help them build their businesses and stay competitive. Each time we host one we receive outstanding feedback from both manufacturers and resellers," explained Sam Taylor, president, Electrograph Systems, Inc. "The biggest draws this year were the NSCA University classes and training on the newest products from our sponsors Pioneer, Samsung, Panasonic and NEC."
- Gary Kayye, founder of Kayye Consulting and the industry's foremost e-newsletter, rAVe, kicked off the event with a captivating keynote address, entitled "The Future of AV in Everything", which focused on the evolution of AV, AV's relationship with IT and future industry trends.
- "I love doing Electrograph's DTE. They draw quality attendees interested in and focused on evolving their dealerships to stay at the forefront of technology and creative marketing," explained Kayye. "DTE gives them both by combining an educational conference and a trade show venue under one banner."
- DTE 2006 also gave resellers a first-hand look at Electrograph's exclusive RevolutionHD family of LCD and Plasma displays. The 32"-50" line, introduced in a press conference on October 17, is positioned to be purchased and sold primarily by installers to maximize their profitability. Designed for use with sophisticated automation systems for basic home theaters to recreational vehicles, the RevolutionHD displays offer high performance features and a complete array of audio/video input and connectivity options for quick and easy installation.
