ATLANTA, GA--Waveguide Consulting, an independent consulting firm in audiovisual, acoustical, structured cabling and control systems design, is pleased to announce the opening of its Florida office and the appointment of Scott McLain, CTS-D, to director of Florida operations. Headquartered in neighboring Georgia, Waveguide has provided technology consulting services for major universities, corporate headquarters and military facilities across Florida.

Scott McLain, a native Floridian and Waveguide's new director of Florida operations, has been an independent acoustical and audiovisual consultant for 10 years and has been responsible for AV system designs and project management on multimillion dollar AV projects, including current projects at Florida International University and the University of West Florida. McLain is also a judicial technology expert; he has provided consulting and design services for judicial facilities, served on several commissions, and authored white papers and technology guidelines for the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.
