KITCHENER, ONT--Martin Audio's high performance family of ceiling speakers has been granted a UL2043 listing. This designates that the C4.8T, C6.8T and C8.1T have been tested in accordance with the standard governing Fire Tests for Heat & Visible Smoke Release for Discrete Products and their Accessories Installed in Air Handling Spaces, and fully comply.
All models are 2-way designs using soft dome tweeters for the widest dispersion and excellent off-axis performance. The exceptionally wide dispersion of the Ceiling Series 4 inch and 6.5 inch models makes them particularly suitable for low ceiling areas.
All feature perforated steel grilles, UL94 VO ABS baffles, thermal fuses and steel back cans. Thermal fuses are included to prevent the possibility of a speaker exposed to fire creating a short circuit that could damage the amplifier. With this other alarm, speakers on the same circuit will still work.
