- SPICELAND, IN--Draper has been named to a list of the 70 best places to work in the state of Indiana.
- The annual rankings are compiled by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, which recognizes the state’s top employers in two categories: companies with 25-249 employees, and companies having 250 or more employees. The top companies are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.
- Employees cited several reasons for ranking Draper highly, including respect for employees, a family atmosphere, excellent benefits and a spirit of teamwork. Loyalty was also cited—Draper has never had an employee layoff in its 108 years of operation.
- “We're very pleased to be named one of the best places to work in Indiana,” according to company president John Pidgeon, “particularly in view of the caliber of competition for this recognition.”
- Draper was among the 42 companies named to the list of larger employers, and was one of only two manufacturers to make the 2010 list.
- "All of the organizations on the list are first-rate employers because they understand that making employees feel valued goes hand-in-hand with the success of the business," states Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. "We are pleased to acknowledge their efforts for fostering a positive and productive work environment."
