- WOODBURY, MN--Calypso Systems has extended the deadline for its Be Heard School Grant to June 17, 2009. The grant awards will be announced at the 2009 NECC/ISTE conference in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, June 30. Recognizing the importance of hearing and being heard in the classroom, the Calypso School First Foundation (CSFF) Be Heard School Grant will provide school-wide sound-field reinforcement systems and installation (up to 35 rooms per school) to three K-12 institutions beginning in the 2009-2010 school year.
“The over whelming response to the Be Heard School Grant validates our belief that technology needs to become an integrated part of teaching and learning and we are thrilled that so many schools have applied for the grant,” said David H. Parish, Ph.D., president of Calypso Systems. “We have extended the deadline for applications to encourage even more schools to take advantage of this grant opportunity that will provide classroom sound-field reinforcement resources which can help improve performance among all children.”
