Challenge
Upgrade the audio system so proceedings remain clear and focused in the reverberant courthouse designed for optimal natural voice projection in 1917.
Equipment Highlights
AKG GN15 gooseneck at the judge’s stand, one GN30 Gooseneck at the attorney’s lectern, and one at the witness stand; an AKG WMS450 wireless body pack at the attorney’s lectern and an AKG DMM 4/2/2 Audio Mixer for the whole courthouse. Each mic uses a ST45 stand and a CK80 Mic Module. Processing by dbx AFS224, and a Crown 180A amplifier round out the system.

Outfit a newly built 750-seat sanctuary with a sound reinforcement system to complement a 49-stop, 63-rank pipe organ; and support spoken-word and all manner of classical and contemporary music.
Equipment Highlights
A 48-channel Yamaha M7CL outputs to an Ashly ne24.24M loaded with 12 inputs and 12 outputs. The Ashly processor provides time alignment for the system, along with EQ curves, compression, and limiting. It feeds five QSC PL340 amps, which provide conditioning for Electro-Voice FRX+660 loudspeakers and PRUS+181 subwoofers.

Design a scalable, theatrical style sound system for the Village Church’s Flower Mound Campus Worship Center, housed in a former grocery store, providing even coverage with clear vocal reproduction for a variety of musical styles.

Six Adamson Arrays made up of a combination of SpekTrix and SpekTrix Ws. Between arrays B and C are three JBL subs in line, and directly behind the B and C arrays, Adamson SpekTrix subs are flown. The system of flying subs directly behind the main array is a factory suggested method that utilizes two rigging frames and a standard Adamson Frame Link Adapter. Lab.gruppen amplifiers with BSS Soundweb London for DSP.

Challenge
While the look of the Sands pays homage to the industrial heritage of the site on which it was built, the sound on the casino floor needed to be technically advanced.
Equipment Highlights
260 Tannoy Di8DCs on the casino floor arranged in groupings of four to five units per zone; 200 CMS 601s and Di6DCs in the restaurants; and a number CMS801 DCs in the Porte Cochere. Tannoy’s proprietary mounting hardware, yoke, and K Ball mounts greatly eased the job.

Challenge
To compete with the chest-compressing roar of powerful engines and the cheers of a few thousand spectators, it’s all about brute force decibels when designing a sound system for a motor speedway.
Equipment Highlights
104 of Community’s R.5HPT three-way loudspeaker systems are placed on posts at the foot of the stands, providing coverage to the main seating area. Several of the speedway’s old M4 units have been repurposed to reinforce coverage at the outer seating zones.

While refurbishing the planetarium, the school took the opportunity to replace its audio system with one that could support both its educational star projector programs and its popular laser light shows.

Also: five Tannoy Di8 DC mid-hi cabinet speakers, an Audio Technica ATW-3141aC handheld wireless package, an A-T ATW- 3192aC-TH headworn wireless package, a Shure SCM262 stereo mixer, a D&M Pro DN-A7100 surround pre-amp, and a Lab.gruppen C 10:8X amplifier.
