Four Winds Interactive (FWi), a digital signage software and services provider, has partnered with AAA Four Diamond theWit Hotel to bring a digital signage communication system to their property in downtown Chicago. Located in the heart of the Chicago Loop, theWit which offers “More experience than hotel,” joins the rebirth of Chicago’s State Street at an explosive moment. Catering to a traveler looking for a hotel experience apart from the norm, theWit projects a sophisticated vibe complemented by the latest in technology.
- “The install at theWit gave FWi the unique opportunity to blend the look, feel and functionality of our digital signage platform to the iconic elements of theWit hotel,” said FWi President David Levin who loved the distinct personality of the property. The hotel exudes a playful personality that also incorporates an energetic, stylish design. The property’s signature lightning bolt that ascends 27 stories on the building’s façade was replicated within the hotel’s signage to create a consistent flow with the décor. Over 7,000 square feet of meeting facilities, with a 2,523-square-foot dividable ballroom and conference rooms named after notable wits Lincoln, Dickinson, Churchill and Wilde, are outfitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, making them ideal for educational, business or social events.
- Since the meeting rooms are named after historical witty authors, the FWi creative team designed each meeting room’s template with a silhouette of the author in the background and a rotation of “witticisms” to play whenever the room isn’t hosting an event. Showcased on 11 flat panel displays, theWit takes advantage of several of the features of the FWi system including interactivity and built-in database integration allowing them to seamlessly stream information from their Delphi event management system to their displays. theWit offers guests a memorable experience at the dynamic intersection of State Street and Lake Street. With impressive features like SCREEN at theWit Hotel, a high def multimedia theatre, and ROOF, a 7,000 square foot year-round indoor/outdoor lounge, the property presents an atmosphere seldom found at the usual hotel offering.
“We truly love the interactive touch screen technology of the FWi display boards and how they continue to publish our brand message throughout our lobby, meeting room areas, SCREEN and on the Guest Room & Fitness Center TV’s dynamically. Using very easy to update content management tools and with the overall Newmarket Delphi® integration & many RSS feeds, we can easily offer continuous messaging to our guests throughout the property during their stay. We continue to work very closely with their creative team on this content and imaging to really support our brand integrity & messaging here at theWit Hotel,” said Darrin Pinkham, CTO theWit/ECD Company.
