SECAUCUS, NJ--Panasonic Security Systems has appointed John Centofanti to the newly created position of national sales manager. The appointment is the first of several impending announcements relating to the restructuring of the business unit's sales operations, according to J.M. Allain, the recently appointed President of Panasonic System Solutions Company.
"As video surveillance and security technologies continue to rapidly evolve, it is imperative that the companies bringing these products to market revitalize their sales strategies to complement their product offerings to better meet market demands," said Allain. "John brings a wealth of expertise to Panasonic in areas such as networked systems and integration, where new opportunities for growth are most prevalent. We welcome him aboard with the confidence that he will help steer our sales efforts in a new direction."
In his new position, Centofanti will be responsible for all sales-related activities and for driving growth through the creation and implementation of new sales programs, channel partner development, and strategic alliances.
Centofanti brings 20 years of experience in the security industry to Panasonic. Prior to joining Panasonic, he was a manufacturers' representative, working closely with systems integrators, consultants and architects, and was actively involved in every phase of the sales process, including systems design. Centofanti has also held management positions with prominent sales organizations, manufacturers, distributors and alarm companies.
