- Symon Communications, a global provider of digital signage solutions has announced the general availability of its new Symon Digital Appliance Series of media players. The SDA Series is an advanced network-manageable product that maximizes the efficiency and flexibility of delivering dynamic digital signage to LCD and plasma screens. SDAs are used for employee and corporate communications, retail, hospitality and gaming, health care, contact center and supply chain, encompassing a wide variety of broadcast content combining Symon’s 27 years of expertise in visual display technology.

- As in previous SDA model releases Symon offers models that deliver the features that customers want at an attractive price. One new model, the SDA-330D now offers multiple layouts, crawling ticker, data, and the SDA-330H with a HDMI option to fulfill most customer’s needs.
- The SDA-630D as with other models within the 600 Series is intended to fulfill high end requirements and usage for power users. The SDA-630D/H supports LiveTV, cinematic transitions, unlimited layouts, wireless connectivity, multiple tickers, data and exceptional HD resolution at 1920x1080, and is equipped with the HDMI option. There is also an SDA-630SD that can stream digital content to the desktop, and an all-in-one unit, the LCD620-42, delivered with a built-in SDA in a 42” LCD screen.
- The SDA controller is built on open standards and supports a wide variety of Microsoft technology including Microsoft WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) and .NET 3.0. The SDA Series supports a wide range of standard screen resolutions and the native digital output delivers the highest possible image quality for modern high definition (HD) flat panel displays.
