FFR, Inc. and DSI, Inc. (Display Specialties, Inc.) have joined to become FFR-DSI, Inc.
FFR, a provider of high impact merchandising systems since 1962, has acquired DSI, a force in delivering creative, solution-driven programs for fresh food, floral and loss prevention to retailers since 1985.
The marriage of FFR and DSI creates the only company in the industry which can offer the strength of nearly 10,000 unique in-stock and made-to-order merchandising and loss prevention products, along with creative custom design solutions.
According to Stan Burson, president and CEO of FFR, "The powerful combination of these two companies, which have excellent reputations for outstanding service and innovative products, will result in significant value for our customers." Doug Bray, CEO of DSI, goes on to say, "Whereas FFR has an incredible depth of products and merchandising systems for the 'center of the store', DSI has a broad array of offerings for the 'perimeter' and 'fresh' areas of the store, so the companies' products are entirely complementary and will provide customers with complete store-wide solutions."
Stan Burson will be the president and CEO of the newly formed FFR-DSI, Inc., and Doug Bray will remain as CEO of the DSI, Inc. division of FFR-DSI, Inc.
Given the complementary nature of the businesses and product lines, both companies plan to maintain their current facilities; however, they will share personnel, products and other resources to the benefit of their customers – DSI is located in Wilder, KY (near Cincinnati, OH) and FFR is located in Solon, OH (near Cleveland, OH). The Solon, OH location will serve as the headquarters for the newly formed FFR-DSI.
With combined annual revenue of more than $160 million and the support of 330 employees, FFR-DSI is committed to being the industry's first choice for innovative merchandising, shrink management and labor reduction solutions.
