Aerospace industry leader Lockheed Martin has deployed a PESA Cheetah digital routing switcher within the command center at its Center for Innovation. The new large-scale routing switcher will route video among numerous sources and destinations throughout the facility's new command center. It also will link to an existing Cheetah routing system, which routes all AV, videoconferencing and visual information shared within the Center for Innovation over a fiber optic backbone or fed to outside sources during collaborative events. Both Cheetah systems were engineered, purchased and installed by General Projection Systems of Altamonte Springs, FL.
The link for this system is a massive fiber optic backbone and patch facility, and at its heart sits a large-scale PESA Cheetah router equipped with fiber inputs and outputs. A second PESA router is required to connect with the rest of the facility from PESA router to PESA router and to the world.
