- The Platt Retail Institute (PRI) has announced that it will be expanding its series of studies on digital communication networks by conducting the most extensive study undertaken to date of their effectiveness in a bank branch environment.
- The study, which will begin in January and be completed by April, will take place in various Harris branches. The results will be presented in a Working Paper entitled "Test Results from a Bank Branch Digital Communications Network".
- "A robust digital communications network can have a very positive effect on the overall customer experience, no matter the industry," said Steven Keith Platt, Director, Platt Retail Institute. "In banking, it allows for a customized approach to customer communications, while simultaneously providing benefits to the customer through enhancements such as improved wait-time perceptions and personalized service."
- The Platt Retail Institute initiates and secures funding of studies by its Research Fellows on retail business issues. It also provides consulting services on strategic and marketing-related issues, and serves as a conduit, bringing together retail executives with leading researchers.
