Frankfort, IL - Chicago-based cable distributor, AVCable has extended their product line to include power protection and connectivity solutions by Tripp Lite to round out its professional contractor grade product offering. The new products are designed for use in conjunction with sensitive electronics including commercial or high-end consumer-grade equipment used in AV, security and voice data applications.
"Tripp Lite's audio/video power protection products are unique in the industry as they are specifically designed for the AV market," said AVCable principal, Jim Woodier. "Not only do the products include unique features such as protection for telephone, Ethernet and coax signal connections, alongside the standard power connections, but the manufacturer has included insurance against damage to the protected devices.
"We have found that end users spend a lot of time researching the equipment itself, but as laypersons, they rarely learn about power protection until it is too late, and some damage has been done to their equipment," Woodier continued. "It falls to the contractor or the equipment vendor to educate the user about the importance of power protection at the time of the installation." For this reason, AVCable has developed a brief white paper, available at www.avcable.com, to assist its commercial clients with the important role they play in educating clients about power conditioning risks.
