Triveni Digital, a subsidiary of LG Electronics (LGE), has announced the release of a new version of Ensignia™ Digital Signage Lobby, a stand-alone, self-contained system for digital signage deployments requiring just one display screen. Integrated with LGE's M4210N flat-panel HDTV LCD display, the new Lobby system provides an economical solution for high-quality content display in a broad range of applications.
"Digital signage systems provide a flexible platform for quick, efficient delivery of advertising or informational content, and this latest addition to our Ensignia product line serves as the ideal solution for single-screen deployments," said Ralph Bachofen, director of product management and marketing at Triveni Digital.
"One of the main customer or reseller challenges is the complexity of installation and configuration of a digital signage system, including player, screen, and cabling," continued Bachofen. "The Lobby system solves that problem by providing a digital signage solution in a single box. It is easy to use and supports industry-standard, third-party digital content-creation tools, providing a turnkey solution for scheduled content playout. All the user must do is install the screen, plug in the power cable, and connect an existing PC to the system to run its MediaManager application."
By integrating key digital signage components into a self-contained system, Lobby reduces both footprint requirements and installation costs. The system is intended for digital signage installations in regional banks, convenience stores, wireless/telco stores, emergency network services, houses of worship, public works facilities, real estate and tourism offices, and doctor and dentist offices, among others.
Lobby supports ad insertion and multiple-quadrant viewing, with associated playlists for each to view on the LGE LCD monitor. The MediaManager software integrated into the Ensignia suite manages and schedules the digital content over an Ethernet LAN connection to the Lobby system, which in turn controls the display of digital content on-screen. The system also can be configured to display live video via IP (digital) streaming or a set-top box.
Triveni Digital's Lobby system is equipped with a Windows XP operating system and features an 80-GB hard disk. The system accepts a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet input and delivers VGA and HDMI video outputs. The bundled turnkey solution is supplied with Lobby software and Ensignia MediaManager preinstalled, along with one year of Triveni Digital Enhanced System Support Plan (ESSP) support and a three-year warranty for the integrated LCD screen. Optional additions to the Lobby bundle include speakers, a stand, and wireless LAN.
