- Omnivex Corporation announced it has launched a new version of its application, Moxie, which works with Microsoft Windows 7 to offer customers enhanced security, as well as innovative user interface features and reliability improvements. Moxie software was developed to deliver rich, contextual media to all types of audiences to dramatically increase effectiveness of the signage and lower associated operating costs.
- “Our ISV community is alive with innovation, and we’re committed to helping our partners drive the next generation of software experiences,” said Ross Brown, vice president of ISV and Solutions Partners for the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft. “Adding compatibility for the latest Microsoft operating systems helps ISVs to stay ahead of the competition and give their customers access to cutting-edge technologies.”
- “Omnivex is excited to launch this new version of Moxie,” said Doug Bannister, CEO and director of software development at Omnivex. “Making our application compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 helps us offer our customers compelling benefits, including intuitive user interfaces such as multi-touch, improved security and reliability features, advanced graphic hardware acceleration, full support for multi-core processing, sophisticated management features, intelligent power management, and flexible access administration to improve mobile working.”
- Moxie takes advantage of the new Windows 7 video processing capabilities, delivering a stronger ROI to customers than with either Vista or XP. It also allows users to easily move into 64 bit deployment when the time is right for them. Moxie users are able to create multiple graphic layers on non-rectangular surfaces, group them, rotate them and orient them as desired. Any parameter such as size, position, opacity and color can be tied to real-time data so information can appear and change based on current events. The software is able to determine what to present on the screen based on internal and external information. Unlike competing products, Moxie has secure encryption, permissions and authentication - a dramatic advancement in the digital signage industry.
