- Tecom is adding a one-touch recording option, integrating various third-party digital media recorders with the TechPod. TechPods are now being used with recording equipment from companies like Sonicfoundry Mediasite, MediaPOINTE and TVONE in a variety of facilities.
- Tecom's TechPod Interactive Lecterns are renowned for their user-friendly design with total AV control in a single, button-based control panel and interactive screen. Each TechPod comes with its own computer with a DVD player, VCR, public address audio system, interactive screen, lighting and projection screen controls, and a new option, a recording and a live-streaming system.
- Tecom’s technology allows the TechPod to have a single point of connection to the digital media recorder, ensuring simplicity, ease of use, and minimal technical support and maintenance. The TechPod integrates a switcher and a scaler to send all input sources into a single XGA line. The multimedia recording option is ready to go immediately after initial installation of the unit within the facility, completely eliminating the need for both a machine with four inputs and an onsite recording technician to manage the process.
- Once the lecturer pushes the record button, the digital media recorder captures all sources using the XGA and audio lines, creating a standard or high-definition digital recording for later access or for immediate live streaming. The recording can be played in and on various formats including QuickTime, MPEG-4 players, and personal media players; streaming can occur up to 5Mbps, 30fps, 1080p.
