LG has demonstrated its flagship digital signage pieces, featuring technologies including advanced Stretch Screens and touch digital signage applications to fit a wide array of public environments. The range was showcased at the 2009 International CES, held January 8 – 11.
"As businesses seek innovative ways to engage consumers, LG is providing innovative solutions to help businesses deliver strategic messages to broader consumer audiences," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, commercial products, LG Electronics USA. "New interactive elements and futuristic product technologies such as touch screen displays, Triple View, Stretch Screens and 3D LCDs engage the senses and extend the end-user experience."
The Innovations Award-honoree "Triple View" 47-inch class LCD panel (model M4714V) is ideal for advertising and engaging multiple consumers at one time. With the ability to show three images from three separate angles, the screen provides the opportunity to display a wide variety of content on one screen. The monitor is "Full HD" capable with a 1080 x 1920 display resolution in portrait orientation.
LG's new LCD touch screen monitors are designed to bring advanced display capabilities to enliven any environment, from classrooms to hospitality to retail. Available in 32-inch (M3202T-BA) and 42-inch class sizes (M4212T-BA), these touch screen models incorporate the latest integrated 3M dispersive signal touch (DST) screen with fast, accurate touch response. Blending crisp image display and the ability to provide real-time information in one package, the monitors provide the ability to access unique programming options such as news casts, interactive way-finding technologies and online customer service from one interface.
LG's touch screen models contain on-screen display and remote control lock-out, optional hidden speakers, information display for serial number and an HDMI(TM) input. Super IPS viewing angle of 178 degrees and 1366 x768 (WXGA) display resolution enables content to be viewed on these screens at almost any angle.
Ideally suited for retail environments and hard-to-fit locations, including restaurants and lobby displays, LG Electronics' 29-inch class (M2900S-BN) and 38-inch class (M3800S-BN) stretch screen LCD HDTV digital signage monitors feature advanced slim display technology and are roughly one- half the height of traditional LCD displays. Additionally, LG's stretch screens offer 1000:1 contrast ratio for crisp, clear images and a RS-232C input for easy control and delivery of content.
LG's True3D monitor (model M4210D-B21) offers a new way of engaging consumers in retail or other business environments through an interactive three-dimensional viewing experience without the need for special glasses. Through its use of stereopsis, the 3D monitor is an exciting alternative to traditional digital signage, offering interactive elements and a compact 42- inch class screen with full HD 1920 x 1080 display resolution.
Another Innovations award winner, LG's N4B1 Network Attached Storage (NAS), is the world's first NAS device with a built in Blu-ray drive and burner. Perfect for small business users, the award-winning N4B1 offers advanced data management with data archiving and automatic disc back up features. This unique drive has up to 4 TB of storage through four-bay configurations, allowing a multitude of business data to be stored in the system without having to delete files to make room.
