TINTON FALLS, NJ--Fits & Starts Productions, producer of the HOW-TO Sound Workshops, has introduced two new seminars to its national tour lineup: 1) Recording for Worship and 2) Advanced Mixing for Worship. The new workshops add to the growing stable of the nationally-recognized HOW-TO Sound Workshops, which tour to houses of worship, pro audio organizations and universities each year, covering some 60,000 miles in the tour process. The tours are sponsored by some of the audio industry's best-known manufacturers.
"Because the worship arena continues to grow and mature, many churches have asked us for more training. We knew these workshops were needed," stated Hector La Torre, managing partner, Fits & Starts Productions, LLC. The Recording for Worship seminar will provide churches with the guidance on how to effectively record services to hard disk, CD or DVD, as well as to create, produce and upload podcasts to their web sites, while the Advanced Mixing workshop will offer churches a hands-on opportunity to further their media team's knowledge of the mixing console, EQ and the art of balancing music and voice during a service. Both workshops will feature the expertise of professional sound engineer-author Mike Sokol, who has worked with Jimmy Buffet, Faith of Our Fathers Convention, REM and the Maryland Symphony, and conducted over 500 technology workshops under the guidance of Fits & Starts Productions.
