- The Interactive Multimedia Collaborative Communications Alliance’s (IMCCA) Telepresence Day taking place today at InfoComm will be opened with a keynote address by TANDBERG America’s president, Rick Snyder, and will be closed with a keynote address by Polycom chairman and CEO, Bob Hagerty.
- Snyder’s session, entitled Experience the New Way of Working, will focus on how telepresence and video communication solutions enable organizations to transform their business to gain a competitive edge. The hourlong presentation, scheduled at 11:00 a.m., will touch on issues such as how to provide face-to-face communications to everyone in an organization by integrating personal and team conferencing solutions with telepresence. A demonstration of how a network-centric approach bridges the worlds of telepresence and videoconferencing to make video easily scalable for mass adoption will be given.
- Hagerty will use the technology to deliver his address, scheduled at 4:00 p.m., from Polycom’s executive briefing center in Santa Clara, CA. His session, entitled The Future of Visual Communication, will outline Polycom’s vision, including how it expects broader trends such as unified and mobile communications to affect market development.
- The day’s program, moderated by Domenic Screnci, chairperson, IMCCA, also includes an End User Forum, an opportunity to Ask the Experts and a Manufacturers and Service Providers Forum.
