Designed for individuals with intermediate experience in fire alarm system installation, service or design, this NBFAA- (National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association) approved course qualifies students for 0.2 CEU credits.
This two-hour course is an introduction to power usage in security and fire systems. It addresses the fundamentals of power application in video, access control, intrusion and fire systems. Terminology and model selection are covered along with voltage and wire-gauge calculations. Upon completion, students will be able to select the right power supply given a set of system parameters.
