BLUFFDALE, UT—Listen Technologies Corporation increased awareness of the AV community both within the company and the community through its InfoComm AV Week activities, held this year October 19-23. To prepare for AV Week, Listen obtained proclamations of “AV Week” from the Utah State Governor as well as the Salt Lake County Mayor.
A webinar hosted by Listen was held on October 20 and featured Frank Culotta, the head of Info- Comm’s Independent Representative Council, with Alan Geer, principal of Audio Geer in California. “We had attendance by 35 representatives in the U.S. and Canada,” reported Kristin Rector, Listen’s director of marketing communications, “and at least one rep joined Info- Comm as a result of the webinar.”
A public event on Friday, October 23 featured a tour of a new exhibit at the Brigham Young University Museum of Art. The exhibit included several displays utilizing AV technologies. The tour was conducted using Listen’s portable tour group listening system.Museum curator Jeff Lambson, who had never used a portable tour group system before, was delighted with its ease of use. “It was nice to have everyone be able to hear me no matter where I was,” Lambson said. “I could even talk while I was walking from exhibit to exhibit, and I didn’t have to look back at the group or talk loudly in order to be heard.”
