- CEDAR RAPIDS, IA--Applications are now being accepted for three $2,500 scholarships offered through the NSCA Education Foundation in partnership with Bosch’s Communications Systems Division.
- Two scholarships, in memory of the company’s founder, Robert Bosch, will be awarded to qualified applicants interested in the commercial electronics systems industry who are recent high school graduates or who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- The third scholarship, in memory of long-time Bosch employee, Monte Wise, will be awarded to an applicant based on his or her goals and achievements in music, arts and sound reinforcement – Wise's specialty.
- Bosch has an incredible history of philanthropic efforts. From the very beginning, the company's history has been characterized by innovative drive and social commitment. This passion was also one of Wise’s strong traits as he touched many lives during the course of an exceptional career. In addition to these scholarships, Bosch renewed its commitment to the NSCA Education Foundation President’s Club, which will endow a portion of its future scholarship contributions.
- “Innovation is one of our core values as a company,” says Daniel Nix, vice president of sales, Bosch Communications Systems, “and nurturing the next generation of industry talent helps bring that value to life. We hope our partnership with the NSCA Education Foundation clearly demonstrates a hands-on commitment to the future of AV, while honoring the memory of industry greats like our friend and colleague Monte Wise, who was an excellent mentor to many up-and-coming audio professionals. All of us at Bosch are very proud to be part of offering these scholarships.”
- Tom Frericks, president of the NSCA Education Foundation, said the Foundation appreciated Bosch’s continued investment in the future of the next generation of the workforce.
